WebOct 23, 2024 · I just finished doing the short-cut cutting the cage out and cutting the tubes of the old heater core. $75 total is all I paid to do the swap and repair. I also put loc-tite weld around the elbow joints of the new heater core since that seems to be a common failure point. I'm now getting 160-180deg F, heat from all my front vents.
