Set in the Chisos Basin, surrounded by rugged peaks, your view from some rooms and at every meal in the restaurant is spectacular. The staff is friendly for the most part. WebMay 14, 2014 · As far as Park accommodations go, the Chisos Mountain Lodge is great. Stayed in a Casa Grande room -- motel-type room with no-frills, but clean, decent size, and a bathroom/balcony. You can't overlook the rest of what the Lodge has to offer. First, the location in the Chisos Basin is absolutely gorgeous.

WebMar 4, 2024 · The Chisos Mountain Lodge in Big Bend National Park, in south-west Texas, is truly an experience for outdoors people. The view of the mountains is absolutely beautiful from every room, restaurant, and patio areas. Restaurant food and picnic lunches are great. WebThe lodge had a total harddrive meltdown at the end of March and tho they now have a new computer they are having to re-enter all reservations by hand from a paper backup. The Lodge is in the ideal location to visit the park. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We had good views from our room. However, this is the end of the good news. We stayed in a tired motel style room. The main facilities in the room were a small microwave and tiny fridge.
